Residential Care Facility

Minorities face disproportionate obstacles to receiving quality care, and these obstacles persist as they age and manage disabilities or chronic health conditions. Barriers to care can range from a lack of access to inclusive healthcare providers and financial barriers to systemic racism that can lead to misdiagnosis and inadequate treatment. As a result, many older adults and people with disabilities are left without the support they need to live full and healthy lives.

About Our Facility

At the Minority Health Initiative, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. That’s why we’re developing a residential care facility that will provide a safe and welcoming environment where residents can receive the care and support they need to thrive.

Our residential care facility will be staffed by trained healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing compassionate and culturally competent care. We’ll offer a range of services, including:

  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • Medication management
  • Rehabilitation services
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and opportunities to connect with family and the local community

We’re committed to ensuring that our residential care facility is accessible and affordable for all. We’ll work with residents and their families to develop a personalized care plan that meets their unique needs and preferences. And we’ll provide financial assistance to those who need it, so that everyone can access the care they deserve.

Support Our Work

We believe that our residential care facility will be a valuable resource for the community — but we can’t do it alone. So far, the Minority Health Initiative has reached roughly 30% of our fundraising goal to open this facility.

We’re excited to continue working towards our mission of creating a more just and equitable healthcare system, and we invite you to show your support with a donation.
